Harris Miller Integrated Field Trip Abroad Scholarship (University of Pittsburgh)

The European Studies Center at the University of Pittsburgh has a number of scholarships available for students who plan on studying abroad in summer and fall terms.  To be eligible, students must be enrolled in the West European or European Union Studies Certificate Program.  While some preference is given to students enrolled in “Pitt in…” programs, students enrolled in any study abroad program in Europe are welcome to apply.

An Integrated Field Trip Abroad (IFTA) is a 10 to 14 day long study abroad experience that occurs at the end of the spring term.  An IFTA is linked to a specific spring term course and provides the teacher and students the opportunity to go and study in person what they have been studying throughout the term.  IFTAs are typically worth three credits and count toward graduation requirements.

Students participating in any IFTA may apply for a Harris Miller Integrated Field Trip Abroad Scholarship.  Five scholarships are awarded to help offset the expenses of studying abroad.  The funds are applied as a credit toward the tuition bill for the IFTA.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must be:
